Microsoft bought Skype for $8.5 billion. I’ve had Skype on my iPhone for about a year now but never used it until yesterday when we “lost” our service due to non-payment (bastards!). I was really surprised how easy to use and really awesome it is on a mobile phone! It would be even better on an iPad (disclaimer: Apple pays me BIG BUCKS to say this). This could KILL some traditional phone companies like AT&T. Voice, Video, Chat – all FREE. Microsoft will soon integrate it into Messenger, Outlook, XBOX, etc. Skype works on Google Android phones too so it will be interesting to see how these 2 mortal enemies battle it out. Microsoft is like the BORG – RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!.
